Peat cube machine

Peat from a mixer is fed into this machine’s hopper which is connected to trolley which also holds the mould.
The trolley has two bearings: in the feeder bearing it positions itself (above the press cylinder) on the perforated mould with the expellers built according to the container (steps and diameters to be defined).

The second return bearing serves to insert the pressed peat into the tray by way of expeller cylinders which are connected to the plate.
There is also a small, motor-driven conveyor belt which positions the crates beneath the mould. Pneumatic cylinders, during the expelling phase, move it vertically to ensure the proper piling of the pressed peat.
Excess peat is gathered beneath the machine by a motor-driven conveyor belt, which transports the peat to the main “S”-shaped conveyor.

By replacing the mould you can have different types of pressed and cubed peat.
Special technology enables the machine to also produce peat cubes of different heights and different pressed densities. This height adjustment is mechanical and electronically measured to make it easier for the user to set and initially start the machine. The mould is guided by special columns which ensure parallel movement, regardless of the size of the moulds or pressed peat. Setting the quantity of peat in the compression chamber serves to conform the quantity of rooting mix to the type of container and required pressed peat.

Lubrication of the guide runners guarantees long life to the machine which also monitors the level of lubrication.
The machine features a complete control panel with commando and program to run and control all the functions of the production cycle, in both manual and/or automatic mode.
